Methods
We are using two different methods we will discribe below. Please choose your method according to your class.

Method masters
We use start.nl which is a method for people who want to learn Dutch quickly in a communicative and interactive way. It is based on blended learning which means you prepare group lessons with the digital part of the course material. The book is used during group lessons. The exercises in the book give you an opportunity to put your preparation into practice. After the lessons you do more exercises in the digital part to assimilate what you have learned.
When you have finished all ten chapters you can manage in daily situations and have simple conversations. You will have reached level A1 of the CEFR:
You will be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. You can introduce yourself and others and you can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have. You can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Method bachelors
The book contains many materials that allow and promote self-motivation: vocabulary lists and lists of grammatical terms in three languages (French, English, German), and also homework and tests. The supplied CD-ROM gives you more than ten hours of listening exercises.
Totaal brings students to a level that allows them to communicate in everyday language situations.
When you have finished all twenty chapters you will have reached level A2 of the CEFR:
You will be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. You will be able to describe in simple terms aspects your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
